Postby radapaw on Fri Nov 20, 2009 1:24 pm

howdy folks, newbie here....

Currently overwhelmed with the amount info out there, and the astonishing bikes I'm seeing while I've been trying to id this bike I found in the trash... I've seen a million that look close. Any ideas or info would be great, y'all seem to really know yer poop!

And yes I found a number... YP50200025 on the bottom of the frame?

It almost looks like a newer schwinn, or at least a china schwinn copy. The two curved (cantilever) bars from the seattube to the headtube look a lot like schwinn, but a little different. I would say it is 90's or newer. :?:

From the first glance it looks old..but,,,then it has fairly new components on it..Did you get it from a Time Machine....
I wonder how I could take a 10 year old bike and make it look 50 years old..
If it ain't broke, and you mess with it long enough, it will be.

I don't think the sheet metal is original to the bike. :|

that bike has a lot of potential. id toss some red rims and fat whites on it. some older pedals, springer, saddle, stem and bar. and some kind of head light and make it into a surf woody. id put a wood grain tank on it too. ohh and need some hot rod stickers on it. heres a flick off the hamb for inspiration :D dibs if youre movin it along!

I think that rack is a Kruzer King Image

whatever it is, it looks like a hot mess from where im sitting. around here, we'd call that a "tweeker" bike. if you've got some cool plans for rebuilding it, you've got yourself one of the best "before" picts i've ever seen.
