1980 Schwinn Cruiser

Postby tuga on Sun Apr 08, 2012 8:14 pm

I usually don't pick old Schwinn bikes anymore because I got no room and I'm more into bmx but I couldn't pass on this one, all original in super clean and original condition. Originally owned by an old lady from California who passed away and her daughter just wanted the bike gone, so she gave it to a friend of hers to sell at the flea market from where I picked it up
this morning. I've always thought there were only cruiser 5's for 1980, first time I see a single speed, rides like a cadillac

That's one sweet Cruiser alrighty.

I've always thought it would be cool to own a single speed version...less complicated.

Probably rides better than that Laguna.

Looking good!

BTW...some steel wool and Mother's mag polish will make that seat post and seat post clamp look like chrome.

Really nice bike. They truly are a great cruiser and a last breath of greatness from a dying brand.

+1 However their "Signature Series" bikes are still pretty good but some are a little pricey.
They're not dead yet.

It doesn't matter what I paid for it, it matters what it's WORTH. I never buy anything I will regret KEEPING.
