Thanks, now that it's rolling again, I'm going to ride it some more!! It shifts a bit sticky, but it works fine... just have to be patient when shifting it.

The tour is in 3 weeks, it's getting close!

Is this the bike you're going to ride in the MS 150? Sorry, I wasn't paying attention to the date; so you rode in the October 09 tour in LA? Did you post an update somewhere?

I did ride this bike in the tour in '09, and it was called for rain on the second day. I still made it 114 miles. Planning on doing the whole 150 this year! I've got a better seat, and a lower gear. Different pedals, too. Everything else is the same.

Thats AWESOME!! Nice bike, like the paint scheme!
Eventually I'd like to upgrade my rear hub and wheel. It's a little diffcult to push the pedals backward and clip out at the same time which is why I added the disc brake to the front.
Nice work.

Just went through this entire thread. I really love the different things that people are doing with these old OCCs.
There is a motorized one that just popped up on my local CL.
Awesome bike!

Was looking at Dr. Tankenstein's "Phantom of the O.C.C." build thread and somebody linked to yours. This is awesome! Turned out great! I was really curious as to what you could fit for rear tires in these things. I have a project in mind and I'm looking for info here and there. This build is really inspiring! Great job!

Thank you very much! I learned a lot building it. Sadly, it was stolen a few weeks ago after I had removed the Sturmey hub. In retrospect, the frame really was too small for me, even with the layback seatpost. But it's proof that you can ride almost anything anywhere if you want to.

Don't worry, there will be another chopper coming out of my shop sometime in the future... just need to finish my trike first.

Man. That bike was fun to ride. I gotta do another.
