Re: CCM Flyte! They don't come up very often and when they do they go for about $1000. There was one on kijiji 2 weeks ago and it didnt last a day and they were asking $1000. One sold at a local bike show last year for $1800. I have never seen a parts bike for sale but my eyes are peeled all the time.

Re: CCM Flyte!I want one pretty bad, but I have given up. I used to see the CABE posts from people in Canada that were finding the complete bikes for anywhere from $5-$300, and it just made me sick. Hopefully one will come around and you will jump on it then. I am now to the point where I just want to find out more about the fork design. Then I am going to go to a machine shop and have something comparable made. The cost would still be somewhat high. But as long as you have a similar frame, which you CAN actually find on ebay, you can measure the headtube so as to have the correct steerer tube length. This would be more than good enough for me. The fork concept is really the only different aspect about the entire bike anyway.

Re: CCM Flyte!I agree with you on that. I have done some research on the fork and figure its only a matter of time before i just atempt to fab. one.Untill then... the hunt continues.

Re: CCM Flyte! My girlfriend's dad works in a machine/fab shop. They make everything there from gun barrels to transmission parts. I haven't spoken to him about the fork though yet since I don't kow enough about them. I imagine they have to be thick-walled tubing and made a certain way. I doubt just benting a couple hunks of steel and welding them to a steerer tube will do it. But he says that they can put anything into the computer and turn it out. And he has access to tons of scrap;billet steel, aluminum, brass, anything. So I'm looking forward to throwing him a few bucks for some after-hours work.
