Chainguards, crankset, chainring, handlebars, stem, forks

Postby lildietz on Wed Jul 04, 2012 6:49 pm

I'm trying to track down a PAIR of fenders for a 1950's balloon tire Schwinn. The bike is a 1954 Ladies Panther. I don't care if they originally came off of one or not as long as they will fit. Dents I can probably deal with, rust I can't. I'll try to get some pictures up before too long.

I can pay you a little extra if need be, but I prefer not to. I have a big box of Schwinn middleweight stuff from around the mid 1960s with no sentimental attachment to any of it. Tell me what you need and I'm sure we can work something out.

Thanks!
Andy

Crankset corrosion.

It can be rechromed nicely...there is no pitting. The chrome just came off in this spot through use.

Crankset and chainring.

One of the three (3) forks I have. I think they are all from Schwinn Middleweights. This one is obviously red, one is a bright green, the other is a dark blue. I am pretty sure they have no damage and the original paint is still intact underneath. I will not trade them if they show any structural damage.

Here is one of three (3) handlebars I have. They are all the same design, just range in condition from this to crusty.

I also have quite a few chrome fenders (brand new), a brand new Sunlite headlight, and white Sunlite banana seat with the sissy bar thing.
