I'm just getting a project started for my middle son, but it's his Christmas present, so I'm going to try to keep him in the dark for as long as I can. :?

Hey I was wondering if my lil one and I can get in on some of that action??? I picked up a a little girls Schwinn bantam for my 7 Year old at a garage sale for 35 bux. She has been riding the tires off the thing, the other day she asked me "Daddy when are we going to powder coat my frame???" She has been watching me the last couple of months building my bike for the build off. It is amazing how much they pick up. I didn't even know she was interested in it. Guess its in the blood!!! Anyway let me know if it's cool and I will post up some of her pics!!! Thanks Sean and Hailey...

Heck yhea man join on in! the more kids we get hooked the better our futures will be. I know that I will need my girl to rat out my hover-round scooter when my hands are to frail to build.

put in a little work last night. Found a couple donor bikes with parts we thought would match our goal.

I got the tires from Amazon (Niagra cycles) they are 20x4.25 Inova brand or something like that. Caught a sale on them for around $10 a pc. the tubes were almost double that in price. As for the wheels, They are just a set of 20 inch rims from a cheap kids bike. Kind of a bear to get tires on them but we got it eventually. Actual tire width on the rim is a bit under 3.5 inches.

Well this is what we are starting with, don't know when we are going to tear into it but I'm guessing not for a while. The weather here is really good for riding and now that my bike is finally finished the kids and I have been making up for lost time. I'm almost done with mama's 57 Hawthorne so the riding is gonna get cranked up to 10 soon!!! Anyway we need to pick a direction that the little one wants to go in for the build. All we know at this point is that she wants white walls and she wants sparkly paint (blue is her favorite color). Maybe I can talk her into bass boat blue flake and some ape hangers he he he!!!
