I like those Peugeots

my neighbor gave me this. it'll get the s.s. treatment and sold on CL eventually. I have all the parts and paint, just need to find time to work on it.

They're not classic road bikes, but here are ours.

Nice bikes guys! Bral, My bike has the same decals as your green one.
I cleaned mine up tonight. It needs tires and a seat bad! And a kickstand. I'm not used to not having a kickstand. Is it a sin to put one on one of these bikes? lol. I'm going to post a want ad for one in the wanted section. heres a pic after I cleaned it.

why would a kickstand be sin for a daily ride....or for any other bike....as long as it's a nice one...

mine's got the stock 70's item, which someone offered me 25 euro's for.. ;-)

(i'd rather have a kickstand than those plastic fancyfair style reflectors which most of you us citizens seem to run... ;-))

maybe you should change that foam stuff on y'r bars...I don't like the look and feel of that stuff...

I picked this Winchester up recently, I was told by the original owner he bought it around 1972 and it was built by people who left the Campagnola Bike Co. and started this Co. Any info would be appreciated.
I plan on cleaning this one for my rider.

Bral your right that foam stuff is gotta go. Its real thick and funky feeling. And sin or not its getting a stand. I don't know why it doesn't have one. It doesn't look as if it ever had one on it either. ??

The reflectors do date it back to the 70s . Kinda funky.

KZ1000 , Nice find. Like the rack on the back. And yours has the chrome rear drops like the ft. forks. Never seen that before.

Really? I scored it at a yard sale for $20. What is it really worth? I have seen some cheaper ones go on C-list for $150-$200.

My only complaint about it is I can't get tires from the LBS. Got to order online and wait for them to come in the mail.

sadly, peugeot value's don't depend on their "rareness" as with old italian bikes or so...but I'd say in mint condition here in europe some 100 to 150 euro's....

most people get horny of old bianchi's/colnago's and stuff but since the japanese and their seemingly limitless budgets discovered that also the prices go so high that normal people can't afford them anymore ..

so I hope that in a few years everybody loves old peugeots, and my collection will be worth...say millions ;-)
