Ain't a rat rod but built similarly. A 1955 Phantom that I'm not done with. As paraded in a couple of Christmas parades this year. I've put about 10 mi. on it so far. Has a Bendix Multispeed manual hub on the rear.

Image

One guy offered me $100 for it. Told him politely it wasn't for sale. Thanks!!!

Your Black Phantom is beautiful. I also like the art deco bike stand, was it bought or did you make it?

Rat'Snottakrate...
Built with original krate parts with a couple of exceptions.... It is a laugh to ride. Eventually it may get painted, but for now, it's just fine as is.
Started out life as a '60 Tornado, now it 'Snottakrate:

Yes McLela, The stand was made out of 1/4" and 1/2" plywood. It's pattered after one made out of cast iron from long ago.

Hi, guys. I'm new to this site, and am trying to figure out what to build for this summer. I have the frame to a 1938 Ladies Schwinn Excelsior, but I likely won't have all the parts necessary to do anything substantial to that, yet. So, I'm leaning toward a custom-ish Schwinn-based cruiser. The past two years, I've restored a couple of Schwinns. In 2009, I finished my 1970 3-Speed Stingray Fastback, and last year I restored a 1950 Panther that I had been riding around for several years as a rat with serious patina. I did everything including the paint and pin striping. The pics:

Loads of NOS stuff on the Fasty.

Rims, fenders, seat, sprocket, and tires aren't original. The rest, yes.
