Forum Police

Postby A.S.BOLTNUT on Mon Feb 13, 2012 11:37 am

Whats up with these guys acting like forum police.? posting Warnings on other Members POSTINGS !, Ther should be at least a time base as to how long you've been a Member , it would prevent some soo many people from posting these reply's on our post, after all this is why we have site moderators , i have members post stuff on my for sale post ( for instance ) and then after causing problems not even actually even interested in said item in that post ? :? .........Ralph

Forums in general have a way of moderating themselves. As a forum owner, you want others to keep an eye on things and make sure people are following the rules...think "Neighborhood Watch" groups. I don't think I've been a part of any online communities yet where the members didn't call each other out when they thought something was off.

Now, with that being said, some folks can get carried away with things and go all Barney Fife on everyone. The best way to handle posts that you think might be questionable would be to click the little triangle icon with the exclamation point over on the top right side of the post to alert a moderator of an issue. This way we can handle the situation tactfully and keep things running smoothly.
