I hate to be this guy because that fender is indeed a work of art (and I should know, my last name *is* Fender), but I think the checkerboards should be saved for highlights, I'm afraid with that much checkerboard it might start to look like a taxi bike.

I'm just throwing it out there, I think it looks amazing, just giving a perspective. You could put it together and it could totally prove me wrong.

Exactly. The checkerboard on the seat tube was to resemble a checkered flag. Now I am moving into taxi cab area:

That fender is headed back to the bead blaster. Less is more.
I tried being serious, but it was boring.

Thanks, and it was good practice for checkerboard making.

I kind of got that as well, but before you completely get rid of it, throw red striping on it, and give us a show of what it looks like....

You don't need reflectors if you've got enough chrome.

If I had painted that fender there is NO WAY I could blast it. It looks awesome! What clear are you using? (sorry if I missed it...)

Hint: today before work I was using the company bead blaster! The Checker Cab fender led a short but controversial life and died a quick*, painless death.

*Well, actually, it was rather slow. The primer, yellow, white, and black combo of paint just didn't want to let go of the fender. I think I even heard a little scream--but that might have been me.

The clear and all the other paint is Rustoleum.
