Hmmm, that would be cool. That reminds me, I am going to patch the center hole in my chute. ![]() You know, this bike was supposed to be done a month ago, then, all of a sudden, it wasn't. ![]() okay, that's the last one--got to get things downloaded and into the finished thread I tried being serious, but it was boring.

Re: >>>Eliminator 20" Muscle: Final finished picture here, p. 62Ha! I forgot about that. But why am I riding yoothgeye's bike?
You know, I think I need a three speed coaster brake hub with a stick shift on this thing. ![]() Yep, that's what I need. Last edited by Peatbog on Wed Aug 08, 2012 3:18 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: >>>Eliminator 20" Muscle: Final finished picture here, p. 62Well, originally I planned to use a stick shift to open the chute but then I didn't do that, so I still have a space for that shifter.

Re: >>>Eliminator 20" Muscle: Final finished picture here, p. 62
Okay, end this thing now!!! Thanks go to: 1. Expjawa for his cool preliminary sketch of his own bike that inspired me to build a windshield. 2. Yoothgeye for his honest appraisals of what I was doing wrong when asked. This helped keep me from using the taxi-cab fender. 3. Kingfish for our conversation that lead to the red-tinted plexiglass decal plates. 4. Jake for inspiring me to just go for it because that is what he did. This lead to the Jake Brake (drag chute). 5. JoKeR63 for helping to convince me to use a bag for the chute instead of the box I first was going to use (and for the leather streamer picture which made me realize they would look good on my bike too). 6. Bmxerpete for his bike (a past build off bike) which helped me to determine the look I wanted in mounting the drag chute. 7. Boybluela who built a yellow 24" musclebike sometime in past. When I was debating painting my bike yellow, I saw his build and decided that yellow could indeed look good. This was confirmed after seeing another yellow bike build by Double Nickle. Had it not been for those two bikes confirming that yellow could be good, I may have gone with red...not that red is bad, but yellow works on this bike. 8. Raggedjim for the, ahem, cartoon. 9. Several people (including Diabolical_Dork, Von Stans, JoKeR63, and bikebuiler) for pictures, advice and ideas when I was trying to determine how to make the wheelie bar. 10. Gold Street Customs for the idea that lead to my drag chute release handle placement. 11. Bike2112 for an idea that lead me to trash my first chute mount bracket and make a better one. 12. Schertztx for the idea that lead me to research which resulted in my cable release for the chute. 13. EastofEastLos for showing pictures of his build being built outside on the ground. Anytime I would get bummed out about things going wrong I would remember this guy building a beautiful bike outside on the ground with pigeons for an audience and I would realize as I worked in the machine shop with equipment everywhere that I should just quit whining and build! 14. Everyone who commented on my build whether seriously or silly. Sometimes when I am building it is good just to get any kind of comment because it helps to push me along realizing that someone is actually watching. For this I am extremely grateful. I am also very flattered by anyone who voted for my bike. 15. Everyone I missed because I don't remember everything. Now here is the point to all that rambling: without the help of everyone here that commented on my bike as I was building it, it would not be the bike that it is now. It would have been a lesser bike. So I thank you all for helping me build my bike, and thank you ratrod Steve for allowing me to play on your website. To all of you I am extremely grateful. This was my first build off and it was tremendous fun. Last edited by Peatbog on Mon Aug 13, 2012 5:51 am, edited 1 time in total.

And, now here is the swag for 7th place. Check out that loot! ![]() Sticker, very cool flashlight (useable for headlight conversion should need be), cooler Fat Tire drinking glass, the famous Hanna Montana tin case, and the centerpiece of cool--a Junk Bros. brass tag! Sweet, eh? Yes, yes it is. Thanks, raggedjim. That was very nice of you to award me these goods. Now I feel like a winner! And the timing was great too as school starts tomorrow. ![]() In reality, my youngest daughter has already nabbed the Hannah Montana tin case and is using it as a carrier for a stuffed puppy toy.
