Ha! Yep, you could look though the thread's pictures in reverse and it would look like he is removing rust.
I tried being serious, but it was boring.

Yep! It's coming to together.I still have quite a few things to do.I have been putting the crank set together today and that's now on the bike and I have lined up the back wheel, got the chain on, so I can now see what the fender looks like. I have extended the chain so it sets the wheel back more, that way the oil tank, which will be in the middle of the back wheel and seat tube, will look nice and chunky.

The rain has been bad for the last two days, so not much painting going on.I did manage to sand down the truss rods and get a coat of the textured paint on them yesterday, but today was just too wet. I'll try again tomorrow.

Image

Spent a couple of hours this evening working on the fender. The back fender that came on this bike was used on my other build The Grady Rocket, so I i'm using the front one, which i've cut down.I think it looks pretty good and I have got it to fit quite nice.Few holes which I can fill before painting.

I cut out a little section for the chain.

Image

Image

Cut the fender shorter, rounded of the edges and then drilled out the holes for the longer fender arms.

Image

Image

It took a little work to get it to fit but when i get it painted up, it should look good. Looks long and low.

Ignore the chrome bits, they won't be staying.

Starting to come together.

Just need it to stop raining!! Fingers crossed for tomorrow. :)

The bike looks great, it's coming along nicely.

My colleagues in London tell me there's flooding everywhere, I hope you and yours stay safe and dry.

It's getting there. Hopefully get the truss rods done and then I can get the handle bars on soon.

Nice rolling chassis!
You must have the patience of a saint to do that detailed paint work.
Can't wait to see it go together
