Well, since this thread will apparently be locked down at some point, I better put in pictures now.

Daughter, happy bike is done:

Other daughter, happy as long as she is in a picture:

Bike in front of the shop where many of the parts were made:

A picture I just like:

The Mustang picture I couldn't find any reason to use:

Bike by the caboose:

By the engine:

By the train station:

By the train museum:

Another picture I just like showing the speedometer drive and spinner axle nuts:

Another picture I like:

And the picture that started this whole thing and so might as well end it:

I tried being serious, but it was boring.

Thanks guys, I appreciated all the words of encouragement during this build as it helped keep the wheels cranking. Also, thanks to those who voted on the bike.

JJBones, one of the things I watched closely during your build was your seat. I used what looked to be the same seat for a bike I build a year or two ago. I cut down the foam and used glue also. However, I didn't use staples on the bottom. I just wrapped it around and glued it to the bottom of the pan. That actually worked until this summer when it was about 95 degrees for months straight. One day I went out to the garage and the leather (fake leather anyway) was peeling up in several places from the bottom of my seat. I am going to have to staple it like you did.

Jaysmo, you may be right. That girl does look sneaky--the ice cream could just be a diversion!

Cool! I want to see that. There is a lot of character in those Iversons.

Thanks, street pirate. Next bike, I might have to try that glitter paint you used on your Rat Salad bike. That was sweet.

with how much trouble it was, next time I would buck up for the fat Roth flakes. It would probably be cheaper with how many rattle-cans I used!

Thanks for the advice! I know how quickly paint costs can add up even with a much simpler paint job than you did. It was sweet though.
