Turned out good. Now I just have to figure the best way to attach it to the frame!

Attached the frame insert with screws after drilling 2 holes under the frame to the wood. You can see a little of the front screw. Holds it in good and the insert fits great. Also got a decent skip-tooth sprocket off a 1950 Schwinn to go with a rear rim I got with some other bike parts at a sale.
Image
The front rim is a 24" Schwinn.

Got some rust sanding to do. Great.

Had a chance to paint the rims up. Was thinking of just black, or just gray, and came up with this.
First, I painted them just black.
Image
Then I thought of a way to paint them with gray also. I taped off the inside flat area exposing the angled side of the rim, and sprayed it gray.
Image
And this is how they turned out.
Image
I also had a chance to come up with something for the handlebars. Started with these old ape hangers.
Image
Then I got 2 sections off this old exercise bike.
Image
Trimmed off the bolt holes to slide them on the smaller apehangers.
Image
And I have an idea for these steerhorns that came off a cutting board.

"FIRE
To begin whipping Dance of the Dead,
Blackened--is the--End!
To begin whipping Dance of the Dead,
Color our world Blackened!

BLACKENED!"

Everytime I see this thread that pops into my head. The bike is appropriate to the theme. Looking cool! 8)
