I always keep about anything that goes into my shop....lol. I got 4 of these bad boys in the big junk drawer of my toolbox.
It doesn't matter what I paid for it, it matters what it's WORTH. I never buy anything I will regret KEEPING.

Made a few 'updates' in preparation of the upcoming 'Cabin Fever' show.
http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=42548&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=Cabin+fever

Gonna be selling some cream Felt Thick Bricks (got four pair) for a friend, so I thought I'd throw a set on the Fatbelly to model them.
I went ahead and added a new Kalin stem and a vintage Stewart Warner speedo (I like how the cream and orange work with the color scheme of the bike). Painted out the DIY crossbar, removed the rear fender and relocated the tail light to the left chainstay.

So, here's v4 of the the Fatbelly Bobber:

Hope you like the update.

Great looking ride Tank!!
New creme tires really set it off, but there are a lot of very cool details on this bike.

I really like the stance of this version of your bike. You did a great job fitting all of those features into the front end and still keeping it looking clean.Nice job.

Fatbelly Bobber v5.0

Postby Dr. Tankenstein on Sun Mar 25, 2012 4:19 pm

I was honestly going to leave v4.0 alone, but then I found a Rat Trap springer and Marty started selling the 26 x 2.125 Kenda Krazes...

So....v5.0!
This version features a Spaceliner rat trap springer (I was bottoming out the Monark), with vintage Huffy fork darts.
Image

A 'matching' Weinmann front rim, bought it with the 'quick release' front skewer, like it with the dropouts, so it stays, besides it's a sealed bearing Shimano, hmmmmm smooth like butter .
Image

I had this Schwinn Sting-Ray Jr. chainring let over from my daughter's build, so since it had a 'dish' to it, I flipped it and the rear sprocket, to give me more chain clearance from that fat rear tire. I like how the 'lucky 7' holes mimic the chainguard.
Image

Finally, the tire change. It's a 'Quick & Thick' setup, Kenda Kraze style.. I've liked the 26F/24R setup ever since Electra Sparker a few years ago.

The ride is really nice, gonna leave this one alone for the summer and just ride it!
