Re: 6 hr round trip on a work night - 3 bikes - 1 big smileI know i've seen this style rear rack before. What's it from?
![]() The seat on the firestone appear to "maybe" be a old brooks b33, but there's no label. Any help? ![]() I also want to mention I bought these from craigslist with no pictures in the listing or sent before I went there. High risk, high reward. Adventure! ps to put the cook bros find in perspective... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true&_rdc=1&item=120670085502 My RRBO#7 Build Off Bike - ϟϟϟϟ ӍÅĐ ӍÅӾ ϟϟϟϟ

Re: 6 hr round trip on a work night - 3 bikes - 1 big smilethats a nice score and yes a gamble to drive not sure what will be their when you arrive . i run ads in the paper for old bikes wanted and get calls all the time mostly a lot of junk. but some people have no idea what they have . i went on a call yesterday man said he had a 1950's boys 26'' balloon tire bike drove about 30 miles only to find out it was a old junk girls bike and he wanted an arm & leg for it. when gas is at $3.50 a gal thats tuff to go and check out every call, or graigslist ad i get this all the time my idea of thinking is {YOU DONT KNOW IF YOU DONT GO} but i do love the thrill of not knowing some times thinking this could be the bike i have been waiting for, maybe thats why i do this the love for old bikes and the thrill of the hunt i guess the bottom line is it just cost a guy to go picking and some times it pays off. in your case that was a great find congratulations i hope you and every one else out their good luck and finding these nice old vintage bicycles and bring them back to life were other people can enjoy them......

I'm trying to really find what year it is and what it's worth. It's tough since most cook cruisers are single speed and this one has a 5 speed 125mm spaced rear... With shimano titlist derailleur. The guy I bought it from bought it from a rancher who left it outside leaning against the house in 1 spot to keep the dog from digging under the house. Wish I could go back in time and give the guy a piece of wood. the fork alone sells for $$$$ http://cgi.ebay.com/Cook-Bros-26-BMX-Fo ... 0613362798 Here's a mostly original cooks http://socketsetcycles.blogspot.com/201 ... r-314.html My RRBO#7 Build Off Bike - ϟϟϟϟ ӍÅĐ ӍÅӾ ϟϟϟϟ
Re: 6 hr round trip on a work night - 3 bikes - 1 big smileSweet double clamp stem on that bike too.
If you parted it out you'd probably make some coin.
Re: 6 hr round trip on a work night - 3 bikes - 1 big smileI'd go 10 hrs for those

Re: 6 hr round trip on a work night - 3 bikes - 1 big smile
the fork on his looks more like a Mongoose fork to me. Probably off a Kos Kruiser. Would be interested to know about the stem too, could also be Mongoose or old Redline. Swing:Modern. Mid-century design and more. http://www.etsy.com/shop/SwingModern
