Always wanted a musclebike with a shifter...

... and I finally have one.



I've had this frame and forks around forever, and I was able to cobble together some other random parts along with the drivetrain from a thrift-store 20" mountain bike to make this a rider. Then Highship posted this shifter for sale, and it happened to be the right one for an Apollo frame. Looks kinda ratty compared to the gorgeous stuff that some guys post on MBF, but I'm having a ball riding it, and it'll be great to cruise around the Spring Carlisle swap meet/flea market...

Yeah, they came up pretty nice. The picture is hiding some of the places where the chrome is gone... but to be honest, that's perfect on this bike. The shiny new chrome bars I had on there before (off a BFK) were too clean compared to the rest of the bike.
