Sidewalk Super Villain #6 The Bully

Postby bighit on Fri Jul 29, 2011 6:52 pm

"I guess I breathed too much life into The Bully. Yesterday while on his first ride out he turned on me. He threw me over the bars sending me to the Emergency room. He lived up to his name and broke my elbow. Only a true Super Villain turns on it's creator. I guess he couldn't be called a Bully until he tasted blood and who's better than mine for his first taste."

Yes its true my fellow rat rodders he broke my elbow and i am getting surgery next week to fix it. I guess it's only fitting that i get some screws in me because of him. This has cause some changes in my final pics. no fancy photo shoots, no exotic locations just my wet driveway after a summer storm. He it is in all it's infamy, barely finished. i didnt even get to cap the cables or trim the long bolts, but enjoy it for what it is, A bad idea come to life.

Died a 1940 Elgin Twin Bar

Zombified into a front sprung, 5 speed, Dual Suicide Disc Brake, 24x3 inch tire rolling Bad attitude.

impact damage adds character.
Image
my home made bars took a bighit  and came out only looking better. after seeing the pics i noticed that they were pushed back i the stem too far. i will have to rock them forward a bit to get that aggressive stance.
Image

Image
her are my Suicide brake levers in front and the 5 speed shifter in the rear.

note the sissy bar. i still have one setting for upright cruising. all i need it to drop a post in. i wanted to have pics with it raised as high as it could go but i cant turn a wrench. later.
Image
some wack rear derailleur i have never heard of directly mounted to the frame. i got it for $1. it gets all 5 speeds.
Image
Image
a little glitter spray paint on the pedals. how about a cool way to extend all the kickstands that are always too short. i cut up an od bike for something and had some chain stays so i hammered it on then soldered it so it wouldnt slip.
Image

and then there is flippy up front.

i hope you like my latest and i would love to retain the title for another year. As i said before if voting goes my way i will make the trophy for the runner up. I have farmed out work on the trophy so it will get done, probably faster. c u in a couple for some more pics of it in board track mode...What!

after a little time out let's go see how he is doing.

what the..
Image

Dude come on!
Image

Bad bike! oh never mind where is the hack saw.
Image

despite the bad attitude i built in a lot of versatility. here is a rare glimpse of the Bully in attack mode.

more pics later.
my build thread if you want to see how i arrived here. viewtopic.php?f=55&t=39917

now lets visit the scene of the crime.
Image
please note the addition of a functioning seat post for comfortable riding. i was able to raise the seat 6 inches up front and 1 inch via the sissy bar. it also can slide back and forth on the post and on the frame. Yet with a twist of the wing nuts i can slam it down for a more aggressive ride.

I hate it when that happens. Cool bike though.

This is one of those bikes that looks..ALIVE..And that's not a good thing. It's a scary thing.

I'd like to say YOU built a great bike. But you DIDN"T build it..."IT" built itself....You were just a "tool"....Now you're just a BROKEN tool. I don't think "ITS" gonna put up with that.

Cool bike.

I started this build in therapy for dislocated left shoulder and ended needing surgery on a broken right elbow :| I am at their mercy. I got to go lock the basement door.
I need to get the trophy done and take a long rest.

Hmmmm... maybe instead of The Bully, he should be called the Disorderly Orderly.
