As the founder and owner of the site, I'm always thinking about how I can take it to the next level. Whether it be software upgrades or new products to offer, my goal is to keep things fresh and make it a fun place to hang out.

I've toyed around with the idea of building a robust gallery system into the site that would allow folks to upload photos of their bikes and include information about their bikes. The gallery would be organized by brand and would allow each listing to contain 4-5 images. The system would also keep track of each member's bikes and would give the member their own bikes page....sound familiar?

I've also wondered what other products or services you would like to see offered from the site. So far I've tried shirts, decals, and name plates and for the most part these have done okay, but I still question whether they have been worth the effort involved. As a graphic designer I love creating stuff like this, but I'm just not sure if people are that interested.

So...if you don't mind answering the poll questions above and also posting any other ideas or comments you have, I would really appreciate your input. Everybody always thanks me for the forum, but the truth is, it's the members here that make it a great place to be.

I think a gallery system similar to BMXmuseum would be good. Someplace that would agreggate the pics then link back to the original threads.

I'm not really sure how to vote. I myself would be willing to pay $20 once to make it free, but it would take a lot more people willing to do so. Obviously the choice that makes the most sense is to charge everyone who wants access $20 annually, but I'd hate to run the risk of being less inclusive to someone just because they can't come up with the money. Lately I know even better how difficult that money is to find. Some weeks i have a few bucks left over. Some weeks I have to use a credit card to buy Ramen noodles. Maybe another fundraiser buildoff is in order! 8)

I'm a t-shirt junkie and would love to see some more of those. Maybe something simple like the HAMB offers on a regular basis and a special edition image shirt from time to time. I wear my bike shirts all the time.....get asked a lot of questions about them.

That said, I have no problem at all making a donation to the site for the gallery. Constant growth here benifits all the members....new features would be excellent. This is a fantastic hobby......Thanks for the site!

Shirts are great but my wife dislikes them always being black.

I wouldn't mind see the prices of shirts go down. I know they are a lot of money to make but you could probably sell more  In all honesty that's the reason I don't have an RRB shirt. I spend a lot of my money on parts for a project  I say that $15 is pretty fair.

As for the gallery, something like what the BMXmuseum or TheCabe has would be cool

Gawking at all kinds of cool bikes old and new, learning new stuff about them, and helping others do the same, all from my chair. :? What else could I want? Oh yeah, send me one of these. 8)

I agree with Simpleman in that a few basic shirts be always available at an easy to afford price. I'd also like to see a baseball cap. I'm a hat junkie
The CafePress stuff I don't think does the site justice.

A gallery that organizes the photos here can only help. I see that we have quite a few under 18 builders here and I'm sure don't have a bunch of $$$ to spare(who does). As much as latest and greatest is nice... will it benefit most of the members or just a few?

Keep up the great work Steve and keep us moving forward.

BTW...the gallery would run me about $2000 not including all of my design time.

I agree about CafePress, their stuff is pricey, but I keep it there so that there's something for folks to buy.

When I place an order of shirts...it usually runs me anywhere from $500 - $800 depending on the design.

As you can imagine with a single income, three kids a mortgage and a church job, I'm not exactly rolling in it....ha ha!

I know what you're hiding, us church employees are rolling in it, we only work a day or two a week and we have such great benefits, plus we get a reduced tithe allowance.

Ha Ha...yeah, I'd imagine you can relate here on this one.

There's a reason I have to do the pre-order deal with the shirts every time...and it ain't because it's too hard to get to the giant sacks of cash all stored away.

You know those plates they pass around every Sunday, we just put all that money in petty cash so church personnel can get to it whenever they need something. This is how I'm driving a Maserati that I keep in the garage at my lake house, I've just lost the keys to it... and the lake house.

My wife does work 2 days a week. She's a physical therapist, so that helps... A LOT.

Also more shirts, stickers, winter hats, etc the better
