Re: Mae's Columbia (Starting on the Wheels)Awesome progress so far... Love the wood carrier... Great idea!
Re: Mae's Columbia (Starting on the Wheels)
Thanks. Wish progress was progressing quicker, but you all know how that works. In Maine, rust is original equipment.
Re: Mae's Columbia (Front Basket?)WOW has it been awhile. No progress at all since last post, but I tossed together the front end, so that I can start mocking up the front basket. That's the only thing I can do to move forward that won't cost Mae ( my friend who will be receiving the bike upon completion ) any money since I already have the lathes to sand and cut. Needed some type of project before the Build Off starts. Sorry no pics right now, my computer won't let me load pics from my camera right now.

Re: Mae's Columbia (Front Basket?)I like it!
Got to do one of those, don't know if I can make it as beautiful as yours! oficinadedesign2rodas.blogspot.com
Re: Mae's Columbia (Front Basket?)
Thanks. Had a good time doing it. Pretty anxious to start the front basket. Should be A LOT easier. In Maine, rust is original equipment.
Re: Mae's Columbia (Finally starting up again)Got some of the wood cut to rough length for the slats of the front basket. Gotta pick up some more wood to make the frame/skeleton tomorrow.
Did first drawing of the chainguard logo so I can eventually replicate it once the bike is repainted. ![]() In Maine, rust is original equipment.
Re: Mae's Columbia (Finally starting up again)im liking this build, waiting to see the finish
well that fits.....but whats the spring for?
Re: Mae's Columbia (Finally starting up again)
May be awhile. This is a back burner build for sure. Once I have the basement back in check, I might start up on the front basket soon. In Maine, rust is original equipment.
