I wish the goodwill here was actualy good lol I seen a bike in there with rusted 24" steel rims , it was a department store bike they wanted 74$ for it. I had a good laugh at that, someone there is doing some good stuff. But thats a nice looking piece of machinery you got!

Great Looking Bike!

I found one junked in front of a "junque store" for $7.50.
Didn't think much of it until I got to looking at it and realized it has a lot of really nice components.
I think mine is a bit older than yours going by the paint and decals.
I need to get a few pictures.

That's going to make a really nice rider for you! Good Score!

The folks who process stuff at your Goodwill must not be hip to the used bike scene...which is good for you.

What I have found lately around here is that many of the Goodwill and thrift stores now have folks on staff who know that these bikes are worth some dough and they mysteriously never make it onto the showroom floor.

Over the course of 2 years now I've stopped by a Goodwill near me and they have consistently had nothing but girls 16" & 20" Wal-Mart bikes. Clearly someone in the back is doing some "selective stocking."

My local hospice had two decent my bikes ,one was a Diamondback the other was an aluminum Iron Horse but for the prices of $50 and $100 I didn't see a whole lot of flipping space, i also just passed on a Specialized Rockhopper at a yardsale that wasn't bad except it sat out by the lake and the spokes were rusted bad along with the headcups, they wanted fifty.
What would Jesus ride???

"Bike" Collectors around here have destroyed any chances of finding any good bikes at Goodwill or any thift stores. They have made "deals" with the managers who save all the bikes for them to look at first.

Man that thing looks great, every one I have ever seen has had chipped and scratched paint, that thing is near NOS.
It doesn't matter what I paid for it, it matters what it's WORTH. I never buy anything I will regret KEEPING.

I hear y'all's pain .

Bikes around here either get priced like 45.00 for an old 10 speed with rotted tired and no air in the tubes, rusted beyond saving....

or, I just rescued a 16" girls Winnebago Banana seat bike from the scrap pile at Salvation Army, guy says they usually scrap anything not ready to go, this one had a spray bomb olive drab repaint... I offered to leave my # and they can call me for scrap, but nope, they'd rather get 2 cents per pound... :(
Some say you can get hi on life. DON'T fall for it. I ate two boxes of regular life cereal and a box of cinnamon and all i got was a stomach ache.
