Re: Bratz EliminatorThanks.
![]() I decided I probably ought to go with painted fenders because they need a checkerboard stripe down the middle. So I am starting with these: ![]() I already blasted the paint off the painted fenders last week to get these: ![]() There were a couple small dents in the rear fender I pounded out, and there was also a little hole I had to fill in the rear fender, so instead of welding it like I normally would do, I thought I would try using this J-B Weld stuff I bought a long time ago and never tried: ![]() The bummer is I have to wait for hours before I can work with it. Oh well, on to the front fender. First, it needed to transform from a rear fender to a front fender, which was done with a cut off wheel: ![]() After filing the sharp edges, I primed it and painted it yellow top and bottom: ![]() Now all I have to do it put a checkerboard stripe down the middle of it and clear-coat it. Also I have to make a little bent hanger to mount it to the fork. If the painted front fender doesn't look right on the front, I'll hang the chrome one on the bike. I think a painted fender will look better on the back however. Besides, I want to paint some more checkerboards and see if I can make them a little better this time. I tried being serious, but it was boring.
Re: Bratz Eliminator1818 Draisine*
The question is: Is the fork on backwards? 2nd question: If so, does that mean there were Walmart employees back in 1818? Or does the Smithsonian Institution have Walmart employees assemble their bikes for them today? Another question: Is the seat made out of a leaping platypus with its head replaced with that of a small hammerhead shark? ![]() *No, this has absolutely nothing to do with my build, but I thought it was cool. I google stuff to get ideas and found this thing. Strangely enough, from this particular bike, I gathered no ideas for my build. If you are interested, there is more information about this bike here: http://americanhistory.si.edu/collections/object.cfm?key=35&gkey=208&objkey=9004 Last edited by Peatbog on Sun May 06, 2012 6:10 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Bratz EliminatorCool old bike, it's even a looptail!
BTW, this is the coolest Bratz bike I've EVER seen! Keep it up dude! Cheers, Dr. T
Re: Bratz EliminatorThanks. I did have the frame from another Bratz bike, but before I decided they were cool to work with, I got rid of it.
Here is the rear wheel and tire I am going to use. I am not sure about the front yet. I might use the radial wheel from the Bratz bike. I am going to use a different front tire than shown as I think it looks too big. ![]() The chrome is sad on the forks and needs work also. I tried being serious, but it was boring.

Re: Bratz Eliminator 20"Race cars have sponsorship decals:
![]() So I contacted several manufacturers about obtaining some stickers to put on my bike since it is a drag race bicycle. I told them about the Rat Rod Build Off and gave them a link to my build so they could look for themselves. The first to respond was Park Tool. They sent me some stickers and said they liked my yellow bike. Since they knew it was yellow, they obviously took the time to look at the thread. That's pretty cool, I think. Here's the stickers: ![]() Since it is a drag race bicycle, I plan to use only bicycle related stickers on my bike. I tried being serious, but it was boring.

Re: Bratz Eliminator 20"All this "drag" talk... maybe you should convert your frame to a girl's frame.

Re: Bratz Eliminator 20"Well, I made a 20" girl's frame into a boy's frame once:
![]() ![]() ![]() So I suppose I could go the other way. By the way, my sticker search was inspired by yoothgeye's sticker extravaganza he detailed here a few month's ago. *Hmmm, looks like another drag bike... I tried being serious, but it was boring.
Re: Bratz Eliminator 20"Yo Peatbog!! I had that race set. I loved it. Hotwheels and Johnny lightning were the best. Every boy had em. Oh yeah you should finish that bike. Keep the pics coming the new one looks great.
