Thanks guys. I'm keeping all the parts, even the bald rear tire . Basically I'll just do a paint job and add a couple of details.

I found a busted rear rack in the parts bin. Military bikes need a lot of cargo space!

I took that old 26 inch rack, turned it backwards, and trimmed it to fit. Just needs a bracket to mount it to the fork.



Lots of space to transport ammunition

The chrome on the handlebars and stem was looking a bit sorry, but I didn't want to paint them. I scavenged a sample of camouflage netting...



...and I got myself some "Chrome-o-flage" (r) !!



It wasn't easy, but my cat helped me out: "Ah yes, I see what you did there. Looking good, carry on."



NOW I'll do the stripdown.

Terrible time-management skills have killed my BBO participation. I know I'm missing out on a lot of cool stuff and it's my fault. [slaps himself on the head]
