Just had to see what this bike was going to look like on these fat wheels and tires . I'm trying to use a thread less stem on a threaded fork , because the steering tube is long , it came of a chick bike . I think it will work but the change will be a head set that fits . I may have to combine a 1 inch & 1-1/8 inch because this bike has large bearing cups . Time will tell !!!

I like the way these parts are coming together!
That holy fender is great!

I have to concur on the fender!

Really? I'm not digging the fender, but the rest of the bike is good stuff. I like the idea of using an incomplete springer to lower a front end. I'm not sure if that was your ultimate plan, but it gives me ideas.

No not planing on using the fork that way I have the rest of the parts . But I have to admit I like the look of it too . It wasn't by design but sometimes things look good by accident.

Nice! How will the Roadmaster fork be configured? Hopefully "trussed" in some way for safety sake. Who makes the FAT rims? I like em...

I have all the parts , springs for the fork I will be installing them there getting powder coated @ this time , but it looks cool without them also . I think is your were to leave it that way it would need to be welded

Patina or powder coat ? That's what I've been contemplating from the beginning of this build . I've gone back & forth in my mind several times , but the more I look at this flat rat the more I like the patina . It just seems to fit this bike well . Clear coat it & some shiny new parts & the more it's starting to grow on me . If I was to powder coat it it would be a deep gray to keep a vintage feel . Decisions ,decisions ???

So after thinking it over some more and seeing all the awesome work going on from all the other builders . I've decide to add some color to the 51 CwC flat rat . It helps having a neighbor who runs a powered coating shop & will do my frame a large pizza , what a bargain But I wish I would have taken a few more pictures of my fabrication one the welding parts .
Hear are a few more pictures

The CwC is coming a long mad a custom lay back seat post , flat tank , & number plate witch will also hold a battery for the lights . This is going to be a flat track style motor cycle race bike theme. She will be rolling on some wide 2 -1/4 inch wheels & 2.4 x26 inch tires . I have some parts being powder coated & the frame will be next . Nothing is to easy so far but got to love a challenge !

I like the build, and your customized parts, the light is cool and the plate, seatpost, and tank panel.....especially in this "rust-raw" form! Be curious to see paint on it...

Nice! I like the different sized holes you drilled in the fenders. The frame/fork combo looks great on this "flat rat" , and I see the spacer stack above the crown worked out nicely as well. Progressing along!

While the bike is off getting blasted & some magic powder put on her & I'm still waiting on a few key miscellaneous parts I thought I would work on the electrical system 6 V battery and lights. unfortunately the battery was just a little to wide for the battery box so I had to sand it down on the belt sander probably not the best thing to do but it worked so now it fits inside my battery box/number plate here are a few pictures
