This one made me laugh out loud, mostly because I've been down the same road:

"Cruiser for sale - $200. Great bike. Brand new. Ridden maybe 4 times total. Wife wants a hybrid. Tried to tell her the first time. But no. Did she listen. Take advantage of the price before I just keep it for principle and remind her I was right."

Posting it here 'cause I'm sure others can relate, too!

LOL, I wouldnt give him $200 for a fleet of them!

My point wasn't so much "look how much money the idiot is asking for a cheap bike" because craigslist is (sadly) FULL of that nonsense! (Seriously, if we started a thread called "overpriced crappy bikes on craigslist" it would take eight hours a day just to read it! :headbang: )

My point was the guy's description, specifically the "Ridden maybe 4 times total. Wife wants a hybrid. Tried to tell her the first time. But no. Did she listen. Take advantage of the price before I just keep it for principle and remind her I was right" parts.

How many of us (a) have been or are currently married, (b) have had pretty much the same argument, possibly many times, whether about bikes or something else and/or (c) already know that he better drop the price and sell the bike, because keeping it to remind her that he was right may SOUND good now but in the long run will only lead to more misery? :21:

I think this guy used 3" tubing to build his bike!

Jethro had him a old swing set and some sand paper, off road light from his old truck, and a old racing slick that was in front of his mailbox and a junk bicycle. After staggering around with a budweiser in his hand and thinking, that is the result. .....
