Post Pics Of Your Tandem Bike

Tandem I built last year. Ended up selling it because we didn't like the way it rode. If was comfy and fun, but slow and hard to ride for any distance. As found, it had an awful spray bomb paint job. I stripped it down a bit and applied my own spray bomb. Was going for a Huffy Panama Jack...

    girls rat rod bikes

Here is one my son and I built last year. Started off as a 1960s Coast King. We ended up selling it after we were done. Had fun building it. Wheels/tires came off a trek. We were going to ditch the fender, but the old girl had already lost her wheels and we didn't have the heart to toss it...

    Rusty/Patina Bicycle Gallery

Here is my 1974 Schwinn Continental grocery getter. I wish I took some as-found pictures. Singlespeed for now. I plan to put the gears back on some time to help with weight. I sometimes pull a cargo trailer with it.

    2010 Schwinn Panther frame $27 @ Nashbar

    Hand Cleaner

I made the mistake of working fiberglass once without gloves. Even gasoline wouldn't get the sticky resin off my hands. The only thing that worked was automatic dishwater soap (stuff you pour into a dishwasher, like cascasde). It didn't remove the fiberglass resin so much as dissolve the...

    Folding bikes

Old Hon convertible in stainless. Not sure of the exact year, but it must be a very early one as it predates the name change from Hon to Dahon. The non stainless stuff is a bit rusty, but I took it on a 6 mile ride today and it was OK. Currently the folding mechanism is held closed with wire...

    Power tools and bikes?

I haven't encountered anything on a bike which takes enough turns to warrant the time to find and connect the proper bit to the drill. I can imagine that new bike assembly could be helped quite a bit with power tools, assuming they are used correctly. Have a number of drills, each for a...

    Vintage Sears Sportflite Tandem Purchase

Looks a lot like a huffy daisy, which looks a lot like a JC Penney tandem I got recently. I've never seen one with a banana on the back, but was thinking of doing that with mine. Thanks for the pictures, now I know how it would look.
