NEW STUFF AT WAL-MART (Op Bike PICS ADDED)

Sorry for the late response, I haven't been on here for a while. To answer your question, I did pull open the rear and front hubs and greased them. There wasn't much grease in them. I did not have the right tool for the bottom bracket and it wasn't giving me any problems, so I left it alone...

NEW STUFF AT WAL-MART (Op Bike PICS ADDED)

Got one and put in another $100 for the springer fork, tires, seat, and pedals. Removed all the stickers and put on the ones I had lying around. Used extra parts that I had and greased up all the bearings. It didn't have much grease in her when I opened her up. Here she is, my Betsy. She...

    Black bikes

Picked up a Schwinn SSX from Cl for 100 bucks, converted coaster brake to a freewheel because the coaster brake made too much noise, put on weinman brake levers I had lying around, had an extra seat, flipped the handlebars, added fenders, black bow pedals, an old chain guard and put a black...

Stingrays that I fixed up over the years

Thank you everyone for the compliments. Here are some pics of the bikes before. I repainted all of them except for the yellow fastback, just touched it up. My wife complained about spending too much time sanding the bikes, so I called myself the Sandman. This was the 1968 5 speed before. I...

Stingrays that I fixed up over the years

I still have all of them except for the 1967 Stingray, I gave that to my niece. It's harder to find and fix up stingrays now, so I'm gonna start fixing up bikes that are easy on the budget. There are many nice bikes in here and are giving me great ideas. This site is great! :D

    Another new member!

Hello, I'm from Norcal and I've restored some Schwinn Stingrays for the last 7 years. I'm moving on to cruisers because original 60's and 70's stingrays are harder to find and expensive. I came across this site and has given me many ideas. This site is great and I'll never get tired of...
