Well, the Tucson heat really got to us, so we headed east for the next several weeks. I'll finish this project when we return, long after the the buildoff deadline. Meanwhile, I'll have fun watching you guys. See you in September. Bye-bye, so long, farewell.

Great ideas, guys. I do need to get more creative, especially if I want to add all that old school bling. I reinstalled the fork sans the fender setup, keeping just the dual brakes. But it looks nothing like my original plan!

I ran into another dilemma today. I tried fitting the fender (with vintage Delta headlamp,) the disc caliper, and an additional 1080 rim caliper (I'll use a twin pull brake lever.) The poor little fork couldn't accept the fender brace with the disc caliper in the way. I'm thinking of bobbing the...

Today I removed the new fork to give it a coat of shellac, as per OddJob's suggestion. While the fork dried, AmEx dropped of the huge battery, which just fit.

I'll try that, Lee. I also have some dark green reflective decals to make it look less stark in contrast to the rest of the painted surfaces. This morning I sprayed the front caliper to match the rear. Metalspeck red. I may do a couple more small parts in the same color, just to add some pop.
