    Gravity Bikes

My best advice is to find friends to do it with. Buiding the bikes is fun..going fast is fun..but out building your buddy or going faster than him is way more fun! Actually. .. my best advice is be safe. If you are attaining motorcycle speeds..wear motorcycle gear...especially helmets. Your...

    Gravity Bikes

The only pic I can find. From the colors you can probably guess the decade..the '80'S lol. Unfortunately the plexiglass fairing hides most of what's going on.

    Gravity Bikes

Back when I lived in SoCal..I built one by flipping a bmx frame. It will lower the bike..and rake out the fork a bit. I used the plate from a bolt on kickstand to locate the front of a banana seat on the chain stays (which are now your seat stays) Also ran a stem coming out of the seat...

Nickel plating bike parts - FORKS

The partial plating has really got me. Looks like perfect rat patina...really interesting look.

Haulers, what do you haul your bike in?

True that on the electrical. They ran too much through the ign. switch. Everytime something quits..I just create a new circuit. There are guys out there trying to completely bypass Dodges computer.

Haulers, what do you haul your bike in?

Reviving this thread. Our campground cruisers have taken a beating hanging on a Thule insert hitch..which is OK 'cuz it got me working on bikes again. In the spirit of this thread..I'll add; 94 Dodge 2500hd V10 4x4 with custom flatbed pulling 94 Shadow Cruiser 5th wheel. Now that I am...

    Rusty twisted frameframe

Thanks for the replies. It is a curiousity why this was done. Maybe someone misimformed "expert" was trying to to dupe somebody into thinking it was more valuable model..maybe some tinkerer was trying to make room for a motor. I guess this just makes it more intersting to me. "Rat fuel". I think...

    Rusty twisted frameframe

Solid advice. I have a MTB I'm going to use for a mock up..just been waiting for camping season to be over with before I tore it apart. I have a magnetic angle finder but didn't think about using it. Great idea!

    Rusty twisted frameframe

Well..the price was right. When I inquired about the bike after seeing it in a farmers barn..he said "You like old bikes? This must be your bike then" as he picked it up and put it in my work truck. I kept it as a yard ornament..until I was tearing down an old chicago Schwinn factory bike to...

    Rusty twisted frameframe

I have this skip tooth Colson I've been picking at. The head tube and seat tube aren't alligned. I've got heavy welding tables I can attatch it to..and all kind of leverage available. My question is should I apply any heat? My concern is the frame joints..which appear to be brazed...

    Hello from west Michigan!

As we all know..these things multiply! I also have a late 90's rigid Giant MTB that lives on the back of our camper..a 24" Redline BMX waiting for a 7 yr. old son to grow into..and this Schwinn I built into a 5 speed...upright bar skinny wheel path cruiser that I've regretfully comitted the sin...

    Hello from west Michigan!

Been lurking a while decided to join the discussion. Here is one of my old girls.a former yard ornament Colson..been slowly tearing her down..trying not to ruin the patina she's earned. Thinking it'll end up two speed kinda klunker with a little steampunk thrown in.
