    Bicycle license plates

*wants to say something, but doesn't* What you could perhaps find are so-called 'moped' plates. We had those little insurance tags up to '05 I think, and switched to proper license plates with insurance papers for mopeds after that. They are the perfect size to put on a bike, about...

    My '08 Electra Rat Rod

Thanks guys. It's one of the perks of being a photo-geek for a hobby. PM me an email address, and you can have them in 3000x2000 (or thereabouts) for a wallpaper. :)

    My '08 Electra Rat Rod

My recently-purchased '08 Electra. I love riding it, very smooth. The only thing I would improve is the jump in gear-gap from 2nd to 3rd. It feels like there should be another gear in between there, right now the gap is just too big. What do you think? It's pretty much stock right now, but I'll...

    Electra Rat Rod frame number

Yup, found it. On the bottom of the bracket holding the cranks. What a bloody annoying place, btw. All the bikes I've had, had it on the downtube. BTW: It had 2 numbers on it. I just assumed the longest one (WMR****G) to be the one, right? Thanks for the help guys. :)

    Moin moin from Germany

Hallo, wie gehtst? Old Opels, sweet. I'd love to get my hands on an '80s Monza, but roadtax and current gas prices keep getting in the way. :)

    Bicycle generators

Mine usually suddenly bind up suddenly, grinding the heck out of the sidewall. (Usually when going downhill at a reasonable speed at night on an unlit path somewhere in the sticks)

    Chinese Commuter

Ah yeah, the rear wheel locks are SO convenient. All my bikes, excluding the Electra, have had them, and I've mostly used them as a parking brake. (Parking the bike on an incline? No problem) Cool bike, btw. Curious on the build quality though. ;)

    Electra Rat Rod frame number

I've finally gotten my Electra cruiser, as there were some difficulties at the import yard. Anyway, I want to get it insured, as all my bikes are, and they require the frame number of the bike. Now, I've looked up and down, but the frame number is nowhere to be found. It's not on the seat...

    Hello from Crazy-Dutchland

Thanks for the welcome guys! Cool, I've heard Dutch is a really hard language to master for someone who doesn't speak a germanic (like German) language. I've been to Rotterdam and Apeldoorn (1 p, 2 o's  ) several times. Weird huh? The rat bike was indeed pretty .... sweet. I was SO sorry...

    Hello from Crazy-Dutchland

Erg goed. Uw Nederlands is inderdaad goed. Waar komt u vandaan? Ik kom uit de buurt van Amsterdam. :) Very good! Aside from a few spelling errors, it is legible to some who doesn't speak English. Where are you from, and how have you picked up Dutch? Oh, and I just ordered my Electra today...

    Hello from Crazy-Dutchland

...better known as the Netherlands. Europe's biking capital. My name's Thomas, or Gooney(Bird). I found this forum through Google (as do most things internet-related) and thought it would be a nice place to hang out, and shoot the you-know-what about Ratted bikes. Right now, I own 1 bike, a...
