I forgot I posted this. I ended up ordering a Sturmey 5sp with coaster brake. I'm waiting for it to arrive but the store isn't the swiftest of vendors. I'm hoping it will fit but I'll be taking it into a shop to have the wheel rebuilt with it. I couldn't find anyone offering a complete 5sp wheel.

Looking for a set of 26" wheels with a 5 speed coaster brake hub. Need to be 1.5 wide or bigger (have 3.0 tires to fit.) Would consider rear wheel only. Can pay via paypal and I live in 21740. These are to go on a Schwinn Aerovane for my son.

I went out with a pair of callipers and the rim is 1.5+- . I've found a set of Weinmann 1.75 rims with a nexus 3 speed coaster hub. I'm going to take a punt on them and hope they fit as they're about $20 more than a sturmey archer 5 speed hub on its own. I'll have to search you tube for setting...

Bit too rich for me but nice one.

My son has one of these and he wants gears on it. I was thinking of buying a 3 or 5 speed complete wheel rather than messing about with the original. Does anyone know what the rim width is on these?
