This bad boy is a monster of a bike. I know nothing about it as far as the year is concerned. It has a rocket on the chain guard which gives me an idea it may be from the 50's? I'm thinking about trying to clean up the chrome and leave the paint alone.

It was most definately the most fun build yet. I stumble upon cool junk in my daily rounds, some stuff I grab has no rime or reason at the time, but as you can see it finds a way into a project somehow. The cool thing about this is that my son and I can cruise around together instead of him...

I picked up the rear end of this trike over the summer not knowing exactly what to do with it, until I came across a kids chrome Razor Big Wheel. I mounted the two frames together with a 10-speed fork to complete the swivel. Steering is a side to side swivel action, obtained by pushing on...

I added a Dyno Fireball rear tire, a fatter alloy rim for the front, and some flame decals. I also had the forkage welded for safety reasons. :D [/img]

The spring was the result of my worry about the forks coming apart, as well as the flexing which can throw the tire off balance causing it to veer left or right. I saw the 'shock' on a Roadmaster at the dump and a bell went off in my head. Drilling the forks adding the quick release skewers and...

Thanks, the spring has two functions, looks and a way to keep the forks together....peace
