I ❤️ the smell of mock-up in the morning

I like the looks of these low riders, but I wonder how you get around the pedal arms hitting the pavement on a ride.

Acid. Monster Rat from RRBO18, continued

Curious how you make these bikes look like low riders. Are the wheels oversized for the frame? Obviously some of it is the from the fork. Looks like maybe the rear drops were modified.

Seeing a lot of bogus bike listings on ebay

Contact the sellers like, this bike is no more than 10 years old. Most of the time nothing will happen. I saw a tank for sale on eBay listed as unknown brand. I sent a message telling what it was from. Never responded, never updated the listing. 🤷🤦

    Got bored yesterday evening.

I love the idea of having a parts shed where I could just whip up a build. I use to find bikes all the time in my mid teens, often discarded on the curb. Then I would rebuild them and sell them at the end of my driveway. These days it seems harder to find bikes discarded in the trash, so I'm...

    Parts ID please!

Nice. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the Customliner a 26" and the mainliner the 24" version?

    Parts ID please!

I'm positive that crank is Hawthorne. But, not sure on the rest, I think they are huffy as seen in these pictures. It's the only bike I've found that has visually identical wheels and crank. They are 1950s mainliners.and another.

SHOW ME YOUR WORKSPACE / SHOP

I have a couple of work areas depending on the task. I'm still getting organized as I'm just getting back into bikes and currently only have a handful of them.

What have you been riding lately?

My most recent ride. 1960s Murray Cruiser. Was my dad's bike. Was scattered in pieces when I found it. I rebuilt it with parts I found. My newest road bike. Trek I bought in 2008. Aluminum frame, carbon fiber fork My previous rider, been in storage since 2008. 1976 Schwinn Varsity.

    Parts ID please!

Anyone know what these are off of? The original rear hub was swapped years ago (can't remember what the old one was, maybe skip tooth?), and I think I've narrowed the parts down to either a Ward Hawthorne or a Huffy Mainliner. The front hub is stamped "weco" and "Made in Germany" and they are...

    Anyone here build a quad-cycle?

I just found deven_science's. Really cool!

    Anyone here build a quad-cycle?

I've had this hair brained idea off and on for a while to build a quad cycle by linking two bikes side by side and welding up a seat/framing to go between them. Has anyone attempted this? If not, explain an equally hair brained or crazy idea that you have had. Ready... Set.... Go!!
