Man, if my computer were healthier, I'd show you a pic of the trike I've been mocking up in my back yard. It's based on a '48 Schwinn straightbar frame & the rear end of an unknown old girls trike. I guess mine's a little less unique than I thought. I bet this is also a conversion job, either way it's sweet. If it's a Schwinn, it looks like a DX--the joint at the headtube would be the give away. If I wasn't thousands of miles away & also broke, it would be mine.

I may be wrong, but I'm calling BS on the seller. You can easily buy aftermarket kits to convert a bike to a trike (fer instance: http://www.aztlanbicycle.com/lowrider-trikes.html and scroll to the bottom). I think that's what's being sold here. Still it's cheaper than buying the kit new.

Looking at it again, it's definitely the rear end of a Schwinn Town & Country attached to something--maybe a DX, maybe an old dept. store special, hard to say from the pic. I don't think the guy is intentionally BS-ing, just doesn't know better & belives what ever he's told. When did Schwinn first start making adult trikes anyway?
