With the recent post about homebuilding a penny farthing bike I have a renewed interest in doing so. I had some questions that I had never been able to get answers for, until now. I've been trying to learn all I can about the wheels and tyres by reading and watching videos.While watching one video on youtube i realized that my dad gave me a tool for installing the tires onto the rims years ago. He had the tool long before I was born, and possibly had gotten it from his dad or his granddad.We had no idea what it was , but now I'm sure what it was , although I haven't seen it in years.It had no manufacturers name on it , if I remember correctly, only some patent numbers.Dad passed away several years ago and I haved moved a couple of times so it is probably lost forever.
