thanks.I traded the ladies Columbia 5 star for it. One question: is there an obvious difference in gears on a kickback? Will I know when (if) it shifts? :roll:

youll know it, id say bout 2 minutes ridin upand down the blaock and youll get the hang of it.

cool. I just cant tell if its shifting or not....probably not...

you should be able to tell the difference between gears like any speeded bike (kinda like goin from 2nd gear to 1st gear in a 3 speed hub), im gettin ready to rebuild my yellow band for the build off (took it apart last night) wish me luck :mrgreen:

Don't kickback all the way to the brake. Just ease it back then try forward.

You might need to regrease the hub. My LBS did it for $25

I have no idea the difference... Ive had 2 hubs myself, and neitherworked...

But im thinking i have ridden one before, and i could tell

I doubt my LBS even knows what a kickback hub is!!! They'd probably try to sell me a set of deep V's for it :roll: :roll: :roll:
