JC Higgins?

Local CL ad again. I can get both of these for $50. They are probably nothing more than donor bikes. Do you guys think I can sell the parts for profit on these? Any idea on what they are specifically?

They are both murray built for Sears (J.C. Higgins till 64', sears after) and i'd guestimate early 60's. If they are badged as J.C. Higgins, then i'd say 60' to 64' and if badged as Sears then 64' thru maybe as late as 66' or 67'. I'd jump on it for the money to get two Flightliners. :mrgreen:

Is the mens frame supposed to by chrome or painted? Can't tell from the picture but I thought these bikes were mostly chrome?

Chromed frame usually signified a Spaceliner, BUT don't get your hopes up yet. :shock:

The boys bike is a 58-59 by the chainguard, the chrome frame version didn't come out until 1961. The girls' is a '60-64ish, also by the chain guard. $50? Heck yeah! -Adam
