my boss was at a vintage tractor meet in Higganum, CT this weekend and scarfed up these two ratty gems for me for $15. The blue one appears to be a 24" SamSco. The stem on the blue one is really cool. Now I'm confused - don't know if I should fix this one up for my girlfriend, or the chrome 26" frame Joe (yeshoney) gave me last night. I'll let her decide.

Anyone know what the red bike is? I like the reinforced handlebar.

The red one looks very JC Higgins-ish. Remember the bike I rode in Hartford? Very similar frame design and paint scheme.

I just used a store brand "orange cleaner" and a scrap piece of a towel. Then I touched up the rusty spots (only the big bad ones) with paint pens.
