Our club's next ride is coming up soon!

The New London CT Custom Bike Club is hosting its second ride of the 2008 season on Saturday, June 7.

We'll meet at Fort Trumbull State Park at 3PM. All types of vintage bikes and riders are welcome.

This ride will take us down along the Thames River to Ocean Beach, about a 4 mile ride on nice level waterfront roads.
(We actually just did this ride on Memorial Day and it's the longest ride my '66 Stingray has been on!)

Come join us for a fun afternoon cruise to the beach, followed by a trip to Fred's Shanty, a really cool roadside restaurant where you can get a burger, chicken sandwich, fish, fries or ice cream!

See the web page for the ride here:

You can download the ride flyer as a Word document from the site!

The starting point of our ride is also going to be the site of an exciting new bike race this month, the
New London Cyclone! Check out The Bike Guy's website for more info including prize money...

Hey Rob, Ian here... I can't make this one, but I just wanted to post up to anyone that hasn't been on one of Rob's rides, you should go. Steve and I had a great time and Rob is a walking New London encyclopedia. He makes the day very interesting for the non locals. :)

hopefully I'll make one of your other summer get togethers. later

Looking forward to meeting more new folks on this ride!

Our ride schedules for the rest of the year are posted on the club web site:
http://www.bareiss.net/bikeride.html

I've included details of what to expect on each ride and we are going to
try to focus on certain types of bikes on some of the rides- 20" bikes one
ride, Customs and Rat Rods on another.

I know a lot of guys have many bikes and like to bring different ones for
different shows. Wait till you see the one under construction now! Just
another 9-foot long 26"/20" full-suspension super stretch rat!

Hope to see everyone there in New London on June 7th! Looks like perfect
weather for a ride.

Email me if you want to come and need a bike, or just to let me know how
many people are coming: [email protected]
Or call me at (860) 912 6882.

Keep rolling!
