This would be fun and easy to do. No real purpose

I LIKE IT

Reminds me of the Biker Build-off TV show...

Somebody built a bike with an open primary using many chains instead of a cog belt.

It was called the 'Meat Grinder'

Master,Yeah, you think like me...its 'easy' for somebody else.heh

Although...IF you were to splice together a coupla of double row engine timing chains...and some timing gears for sprockets...

Hmmmmmmmm.Now the wheels are turning...

I gotta think about this...

It would be pretty easy on a MTN Bike as you could just use three chain rings of the same size instead of the usual stack. Not sure if there would be room for a BMX Style free-wheel or not but otherwise it could be spaced. Of course this method would mean Caliper style brakes and no coaster brake.

my guess would be a 5 speed 20" minus two cogs and a mountain bike crank with three same sized front cogs

so yes pretty easy if ya wanted to do it
