I don't think it's because it's a touchy subject as much as it is that it's been discussed a few times in the past year.

It's all good though, nothing wrong with a bit of discussion.

Caps Lock should be in the middle of keyboard to the far left. If you put your pinky finger on the A it is the next key to the left normally. :shock:

A Rat? I don't give a rat's rear end what people think of my bike. How's that? LOL... :lol: Actually I do, but to keep the coolness factor I have to deny it in public. Shhhhhh... Don't tell anyone.

I WAS JOKING ABOUT THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON.
SEE THATS WHAT IM LOOKING FOR (SORT OF) YOU DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF YOUR BIKE. IT ONLY MATTERS WHAT YOU THINK. WHICH IS HOW IT SHOULD BE. THERES NO TEXT BOOK ANSWER. I THINK EVEN IF THERE WAS THE TERM "RAT ROD" IN THE DICTINARY, THAT DEFINITION WOULD MEAN SQUAT BECAUSE IT IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT :D AND YES WE ALL SECRETLY PINE FOR SOME SORT OF ACCEPTANCE OF OUR BIKES HA HA. :wink:

IF SOMEONE WROTE THAT THEY HAVE A 92 FORD PROBE THATS FLAT BLACK AND THAT IS THEIR RAT ROD. THEN SO BE IT!

Nothing is more rat then the 86 Ford Escort I used to own. It was the ugliest baby blue and Navy two tone, and I had so many parts from other vehicles on it, it wasnt funny. I think the rims were off of a Dodge, The windshield wiper fluid container was off a Pacer, and I had a hood scoop off of a Mustang on it (scoop was bright red). It was so ugly it was cool. However that is how I feel rat is, making due, but making it cool to me, not anyone else. If they like it too :mrgreen: , then it just proves there are at least two nuts on this planet! lol

wow this one again? well he is ok i ment him in person its all good. but yea this topic has brought up some bad blood in the past. oh yea and turn those caps off before hooch finds out and he sicks ricky on ya! a rat is what you make of it heck in our club we dont like it when some call our cars rat rods they are just hot rods or kustoms. but it is what you make of it and thats it.
 
i like bicycles...period! i dont stress too much over the different kinds or names of...but here's what will get a bike i built called a "rat."

if i make something of nothing. example, take a bike that's been thrown away, or that i got for five or 10 bucks, and use my own time, effort, and creativity to make it something cool. you wont see me on anything rusty or "patina'd" but they often start that way!

im not sure what it is about taking something that was discarded or decided to be useless, and bringing it "back to life." when i see old stuff i first wonder what kind of stories that peice could tell me if it could talk, and i see it's potential to be "new" again.

in my opinion the coolest thing about rat rodders -at least my experience has been- that even if he/she doesnt think your bike/car is a rat, they dig cool bikes and cars.
