I’m calling this build The Sky Lark after my old muscle car.
I had a 1970 Buick Sky Lark as a kid in high school. It had a big block 350 Rocket motor . What a fun car maybe a little to much fun for a kid with a lead foot . I wrapped it around a tree one night & killed it . Almost killed my self also but out of the smoke and twisted metal I walked away .
Now the Skylark will live on also !!!!

I’ve had some old SkyLark badges for awhile . So of course I had to use them . Stay tuned I will be posting pictures laters today of what I’m cooken up ......

Are you going the Muscle Bike route?

Let the doodadery begin!!!

So this the frame a 1960s Ross fright liner. What I would like to do is cut the back half off and Stretch it a bit with a loop tail. Like the rubber hose I have attached. Hopefully I can find a tubing bender to make it work . I do have some friends in the metal business but not sure if they have a tubing bender so still scratching my head at this point.

I also have a tank for it that will work with a bit of tweaking.
I got it from King Fish a couple years ago .

Hopefully I can make this bee hive work . It’s also not a perfect fit but then again not much is on this pile
Of parts . I know I have some more miss matched scrap metal in the little shop I will be try to turn into a one off Rat Bike [emoji232][emoji232][emoji242]

Interesting I like it, I'll be watching for sure.

Cool stretch plan.
Are you going to angle back the seattube as well?

So after giving my frame idea some more thought. I haven’t any luck finds a tubing bender . Also with limited time & a bunch of parts that will have to be modified to fit . I decide to just extend the drop outs.
This will allow me to stretch the rear of the frame about 3 1/2 inches and allowed me to run a little bit wider tire because it’s a pretty tight fit back there. I’m trying to give the backend of the bike a little bit of a car look & also a little bit of the Skylark Birdtail look .

I like where this is going.
Glad you won't get bogged down waiting on the looptail idea. The drop mocks look great.
