Recently completed this 1980 Schwinn Voyageur 11.8. Bought from the original owner. It was hung in his shed for nearly 40 years. Had to replace the tires, tubes, and rim bands. Also replaced the seat with a Brooks C17, and pedals with RaceFace pedals.
Had to tear the bike completely down. Lots of cleaning and polishing. Cleaned and repacked all the bearings.
It rides and rolls awesomely!

26” cruiser with a 20” front wheel...Grape Krate and the Apple Cider Special.

The 26 was my only bike for ages and has seen some heavy action...swapped in the 20” 15 years ago. The 26 front wheel is messed up and I’m pretty sure my kid recently bent the forks...the Krate bars really tie the room together.

I dig the Grape with a BMX seat. Raise it to ride, slam it down to look cool.

The front ends sit at the same height. Good comparison of the stock vs. the newly narrowed 19” bars.

I had one but the frame cracked around the seat tube. I loved that bike.

Man, what a janky shot of my blue Schwinns. I'll get something proper up once the streets aren't laden with snow, sand and Mag Chlo.

Currently riding a new townie from a $40 CL score, which is also going to pull a Perception Prodigy 10 to the local lake. It shed a few pounds in gearing, with a flipped spacers rear hub/wheel rebuild. After my next trip to the hardware store it'll have a beefy rack to handle the kayak.
