Last Tuesday I went for a bike ride with @MlpsCoster (but that’s a story for later) on the ride home I found this Workman quadcycle the local coffee/bike shop was letting go for free to a good home.
All four tires had about 4 pounds of air and it was rush hour in Chicago. I made the ride 3 to 4 miles without incident. (Legs were sore the next day)
So lucky I have a spot to park this in the back yard.. Do you think the landlord will notice 🤣
I was hesitant at first to take this. But it turned out behind the wood box was a well built steel frame. Lots of cargo space potential. I’ve been taking the box apart for the past few days and today after work. Got the tires aired up and chain lubed. Rides like a track bike now! 😂 up next black plumbing pipe handlebars no drops on this one. Those steel rings in the front are for CO2 and coffee tanks for iced coffee on tap. Going to have them knocked out and maybe a small lock box in the lower front. Can’t wait to ride this one to work. Thanks for looking!

That big upright behind the seat was the umbrella stand Took that off for more cargo space.

That is MASSIVE! Looks like they started with a front loader frame, extended the front platform, and grafted on the rear section of a regular trike. How does it steer? They must have changed that too, as the front loader usually has tilt steering, where the rear leans into the corner, which isn't possible with the quad. So much cool.

It sure is!!
it’s a Quadracycle they definitely added to the front and made the step down. To fit Co2 and coffee tanks. I’m surprised how well it does ride. Turning radius is crazy. Reverse would be nice 🤣 it’s actually a good it’s a quad a three wheel would tip it’s so long.

Winters coming and this won’t fit in the basement. So I hit the cargo “box” with the grinder and brushed on some RustOleum.. Going for a ride tomorrow with the ChicagoTaildraggers. So I put the counter top back on in case we need a picnic table 😂
