I just bought this sight unseen, hoping to use the fork and stem on another project.
But I’m not sure, looks like a cool klunker to begin with.
I know it’s tough to tell, but any ideas on a year or model?
5 speed with weinmann hoops.

Tha king sting is beautiful!
It does look more like the sidewinder.
Dang I’m excited to find out.
Fingers crossed I will pick it up tomorrow.

Finally had some time to play with this a bit. Bucks down cruiser. The bars were uncomfortable, so I put on some Honda mini bike bars I had. Much better.
The wife picked the pink! But I think it looks sharp.
Sooooo the question of the day:
I need to replace the wheel bearings . I cleaned and greased, but the rear has too much play. Are they pretty standard? Weinmann rims. And they have a caged bearing.
Thanks

It sounds as if the cones just need adjusting: https://www.sheldonbrown.com/cone-adjustment.html

One other possibility with hubs that are made from inferior materials is that the bearing races could be worn to the point that they are geting carved out inside by higher grade metal bearings. Such was the case with this hub that decided to finally give way elsewhere as well on me.

Oooph! That looks like a bad time.
I appreciate that link. I’ll double check it. That’d be great if I could adjust it!
Much obliged
