Right here in this forum.

and on March 31st or before, final picture captioned "I'm done."
You can enter any bike in any condition.

A voting thread with finished pics will be compiled afterwards.
Posting progress pictures along the way is encouraged, we'll all be in one thread together.
A trophy titled "Rat Supreme" will be awarded to the winner of the most votes garnered in a 1 week period.

Carl.

The unofficial shootout will be using the Central Standard Time zone for the beginning and end...

Let's get this thing started...

I'm not promising to build a rickshaw. But I will say I'm thinking about it...

So it's a beautiful day and I jumped on this even tho I have other things I need to be doing... 27" wheel fits on front. Fatish wheel looks like it will fit and I have a 3 speed hub that will lace right on that funky pink rim. But there's a fly in my bearing grease. That goose is rusted in good. Lol. We know what to do. It's at step one right now soaking in Aerokroil.

Very cool, roadster is a good look. I'm pushing mine into the dragster realm. It's probably what I build the most, skinny front tire and mo fatta out back.

Carl.

I mostly have old three speeds only ever built one muscle type bike.

You lace hubs to rims yet? Old SA 3 speed coasters are great hubs to build a bomber with. Lace it to a fat 26" rim and put a 2.5" or a 3" tire on. 1 3/8" on the front and all of a sudden it looks wicked. Get out the dimpler and I bet you can stick a fatter tire on the back of that black ah... What is that thing?

Carl.

It was an Arpan well some of it (same line of flying pigeon) then I added some Phillips seat stays and fenders are from a gazelle. I had thought of doing the same thing you just mentioned but with a springer front end. I no doubt can fit a three inches. But I have rod brakes that I thought of using and can only use them with those tires (28 1 1/2).

Post everyday and you will finish it...

Sheer muscle (lol) got the goose loose. The ShockEase fork is on the bench. Pretty cool idea, I'll get some good pics for ya'all later. Gotta kick it over to the guitar shop. I've got things waiting to reassemble there.

Guitarl.

Went to work last night and got thinking. (8 hours in a little room gives you lots of time to do that). And the more I thought about Carols post the more I could see it. Fat front skinny back. Stuffy tweed jacket or leather like the bad kids. Dragster it is

Sturmey archer hub spokes are a little long but I can trim them

I'm In

Going semi-muscle on this, with mini apes from a '79 Junior Sting-Ray and NOS repop Schwinn Springer from the '90s, as the OE fork is twisted quite badly. Keeping a bunch of the OE parts in it, but especially the chain guard. On a bike ride last year some OWG tried telling me the Speedster has always been a diamond frame. It'll be my community bike ride steed for 2022.
