For Western Sizzler, I had Chop Shop Customs make some custom pointy bars with zero pull back to them.

In between Machinist careers, I was an EET...my job was to keep the EEs flowing in the right direction.
Done that too. Flunked out of Georgia Tech the first time around and got an EET in Savannah and worked as an Instrument Tech at a local plant. Then after two years of that, I went back for my BSEE and earned it two months after my 10 year high school reunion

Itβs strange how much focus there is on drinking in college. I went to USU where half the kids did not drink and half the kids drank too much.
I was only 16 when I started college, and for a while I was going to high school and college at the same time. I never actually was a 12th grader. I wasnβt into drinking at all.
If youβve never lived in Utah, you donβt know that in order to buy liquor you have to buy it from a state cop at a state liquor store. But you only needed to be 18.
When I finished college, I moved to California, and found out I was still too young to drink here. I was 20 years old, drawing trusses, and writing code for a semi-automated production line that built tract house walls from lumber and nails.

Thatβs pretty cool, because I donβt recall that our Mormon college had an official drinking song. (The unofficial ones were not PG.)

Moved some more stuff in my shop so that I could dig a little deeper and find some parts. Pulled out some test parts for @Dr. Tankenstein, then got a seatpost and post clamp for my Uncle Stretch frame.
Even though I knew i wouldn't use it, I just had to try this fatty saddle. Not right for this build but wanted a mounted photo for future reference.

I knew early on that the proper saddle for this frame was going to be one of my Lepper Primus mega springers (or PHAT clone in this case).
Slid the bar mockup back on and leveled them out more. It is almost looking like a bike now. I can already tell that the riding position on this is gonna be great.
I also finally found the fat fender I kept from the Felt Speedway that I flipped.
Iβve been trying to figure out that little infill panel on the seat stays. It looks a lot stranger to me with that round fender up against it.

Pulled the Rockabilly out to compare riding geometry. This bike is gonna be perfect in that regard.
Did a rough mockup with the bat tank idea too.
Now you just have to hit something with that bat hard enough to bend a little bit, so it fits.
Need to look inside first and see what kind of core it might have. This is a pretty cheap bat, so I am assuming it's a one piece bat.
I'll try bending it with a conduit bender I have first. If that doesn't work, I may try making half slices into the section that needs the curve. My other option is to check with @Skydreamer and see if he has any dies for his roller small enough for a bat handle.
Much more to work on until that time. I need to get this ridable first.
Took the fork off. It has a 1 1/8 steertube, so I am using these machined down headsets from ebay that work on old headtubes that would normally have 1" steertube forks.
I also bought a bearing press from ebay. This is the very first time i have used something besides a block of wood and a hammer to put cups in place.
