Given the size of the tires, and looking at that diagram of the dude straddling the bike, the top tubes would be running through my belly button! LOL

Still in the box, may get to it on Thursday. My diamond frame road bike is a 56c frame or about 22”, hopefully I’ll be OK.

Frame measures 18” bottom bracket top of seatpost. Box is marked Sm/Md frame. Stand over for me is at 32”. Wheelbase is compact like most modern Schwinn bikes. The geometry reminds me of my Schwinn Moab mountain bike.
Unboxed it and slapped it together. Rides nice, one scuff and a ding even though it was well packed. One knarly bar code sticker that will be hard to remove on seat tube. Nice little bike.

Didn’t take long to soil the tires. I will probably replace the bar wrap with some grips and I have a couple of better saddles. Even though it’s a China made bike it has the feel of an older model. I need to figure out a way to weigh it. It doesn’t seem all that heavy. The rims have a nice old school rounded profile like old metal clad wood wheels.

They let you know which part of the fork is front. Will wonders never cease? I like the look more and more, but it needs a pair of black BMX bars to really set it off. 57 AMF in the background?

Yep front is front. The crank arms and pedals had “R & L” stickers also. The tires are rotation specific also.
For the time being I like the curved flat bars but they need a pair of grips. The wraps don’t have enough diameter to them. Welds look good, matte black finish, wheels true, tires rated 45psi, typical Shimano Nexus 3speed with grip shift.
The bike in trailer is a 1955 Hawthorne by AMF, might be a future build off bike. I can’t seem to back away from the build offs.
Rat on.

I use the bathroom scale to check my weight then pick up the bike and subtract the difference to get a bike's weight.

My wife won't let me bring bikes into the bathroom. Or anywhere in the house for that matter. :)

Cool bike...it does have a real bmx cruiser vibe to it, but...I try to fit most bikes into that image when I first see them. The tires almost look like hookworms...what width do they measure at?

:113:
The sidewalls say 2.50” but I’ll have to measure them. I’m guessing that they aren’t quite that wide. Well I’ve never had a BMX bike or a “Phantom”, so I guess I can mark 2 more off my bucket list.

Tires measure out at 2.615 wide inflated to 40psi...I am pleasantly surprised. Pretty much vintage balloon shaped, and treadless except for a few grooves.

Ride to Eagle Lake.

Smooth rider, need grips and a different seat. Aluminum frame ride, ought to maybe reduce air pressure to 35psi for a little better cruise. I like it for shorter rides.

Since it isn't August 6 yet, why not throw together the necessary threads and include it in the build off? Can you not enter a kit in the competition? LOL

Well it wasn’t built and I’m going to change grips and seat. But I think you can only enter one bike. Faux Black Phantom could be name though...I’d have to assume a new identity.

If the "compact geometry" of the frame is like that of a new roadmaster "granite peak", than I'm not a fan. :p
Picked up one of those to flip and on a test drive almost got my foot in the wheel executing a tight turn at slow speed. I'm not a giant either - 5' 11" and 30" inseam.

But what size shoes do you wear?

Shoes are usually 12’s or 12.5’s. No turning interference encountered. I’ll have to measure the wheelbase. Ton tube length seems OK, it’s just not stretched out like an old cruiser.

We are about the same height, I’m 5’-10 1/2” or so. The fit seems OK for me no front wheel interference noticed.

Wheelbase is 42”, top tube distance almost 22”.
