Was told this was a huffy by a the guy I buy parts from but not sure any ideas?

The chainring looks the same as 80s/90s LW star cruiser, Jamis earth and boss cruisers, Diamondback cruisers, etc...so, I assume it is from the same Taiwan company that made those...but, the big tubes would probably indicate later manufacture. 00's?

Huffy Cranbrook. $89 new & complete at wallyworld. Basic build off fodder.
 
wally has been selling cranbrooks for 15+ years. They do change. We've had quite a few a the local coop and I've yet to see two the same. Probably made in multiple factories. As mentioned above, It could be a Sante Fe. Same basic bike but with chrome fenders. Low end carbon steel sheet metal frames. Good for cutting and welding projects. I've seen a number with motor kits installed on them (and no decent brakes).

Maybe a Sante Fe?? Looks like you could build it easily into something.

I built this from a Santa Fe, then moved all the ‘good’ stuff onto a vintage framesets, once I had the opportunity.
