Finally making some progress, not sure how hot I am about the red oxide.

I like primer red bikes. That was one of the accent colors I used for Firewing. Steve did a great looking Felt in primer red before too.

Cool and I'll 2nd the red primer it does look good on a Schwinn also looks good with a matte clear over red primer.

yeah I think once I get some other parts on it I think it will look better, maybe even try to do some pinstriping

I recommend the matte clear on top, it'll be much more durable and easier to clean... I want to say the clear will also help because it will rust right through the red primer but on this site, maybe that's not a negative!
It'll also make your pin striping more durable if you go over that too.

I agree, may just look to mono tone with out the parts and or some accent colors. Looks good from here!

I plan on clearing it with flat once I decide if I want to try and stripe it or not.

This will be the 4th build off Ive used it and can't tell you how many frames I've used it for.

make it portable so you can move it around i put mine on a big tire and if it needs more weight i add a cinder block .

I just stab mine in the ground when ever I need it, Its lower than normal since we have had so much rain its probably over a foot in the ground.

Plans are at this point, red primer frame, green suede covered seat with olive green fenders and bars then everything else black. All of it matte finish

Got the seat built and an idea for fender struts
here is what the bottom of the seat started out like

I picked up a Coleman 426d stove today, so I may try working the stove and cooler into a trailer that I can swap from bike to bike.
